This week-end come and check the Modern Theory‘s ‘visual grammar’ posters at Bozar (Brussels) for the ‘truc troc’ exhibition!
We have been asked to judge the work of ERG 3BA multi-disciplinary media degree show.
Judging was no small task, ranging from typography to installations, we where impressed by the large amount of work presented, which made it a tiring day.
That said, we must say it lacked a bit of excitement, that hardcore graphic design research thing for most of the projects (our point of view). Although some projects where just mind blowing.
Here is a small preview of what we have seen that day.
This year, for our annual retreat, we’ve been away in Brittany to brainstorm and discuss the future of Modern.
We have taken a step back from our daily tasks in order to have a look at the bigger picture and how the business will develop in the future.
The ‘Visual Grammar’ exhibition posters are now available online.
Each poster was screen printed by hand in a limited edition of fifty prints.

Same address, different floor. Last week we moved our studio to a new space on the third floor. A bigger studio with more light and a nicer view!
Here is our submission for more information you can visit Modern Theory.
Withdrawing from the rush hours into a more wonderfully tranquil working atmosphere.
We’ve been featured in the last issue of Eight:48 on Tommorow’s Classics.
Q: What, in your opinion, …
A: “As we live in a transformational age, we believe that a visual identity becomes successful from the moment the audience is invited to appropriates it.
What AOL has managed to create, is a framework for its identity to exists whenever content is brought to it. It is the audience that breathes life into the brand.
We think this identity will become a lasting legacy for today’s generation because it truly defines the time we live in.”
